Important awards for Villa Dionisi and the MAAM Museum
Recently two important books have been published about Villa Dionisi in Cerea, in which the MAAM Museum and the Aldo Morelato Foundation are located.
La pittura veronese nell’età Barocca, Scripta edizioni, with texts and images of important artists who worked at Villa Dionisi, Francesco Barbieri (Verona, 1623/1698); Taddeo Taddei (Verona, 1690/1752); Giuseppe Le Grù (Verona, 1715/1775), etc. Painters who left great artworks that can still be admired today in the frescoed rooms of Villa Dionisi.
The other book, I musei d’impresa in Veneto, edizioni Marsilio, tells the history with images and texts of the most important Venetian business museums, including the MAAM, Museum of Applied Arts in the Furniture sector based in Villa Dionisi. The museum collects furniture and other object projects designed by prestigious designers and architects, produced by the Morelato Company.
